Mobile Window Tinting

There are a number of things that make mobile window tinting seem like a great idea. Convenience, Price and... well that's about it. The truth is that when you look at the dowside of mobile tinting it doesn't seem to be that great of a deal after all.

First off lets talk about the convenience factor. I mean sure it sounds great to just have someone show up at your place of employment and take of this daunting little task without you having to do anything more then hand over your keys. Now that is convenient; but what happens if you have a window that needs to be redone or you have a window broken out that needs to be retinted? I mean sure you got the guy to come out for $125 but do you really think he is going to drive all the way back out and set everything up again for a warranty job or for 20 or 30 dollars. I don't think so.

Secondly, I'm going to explain why that $125 isn't such a great deal after all. Mobile window tinters typically will use whatever film they can get cheapest. That's how you get the cheap $125 tint price. Oh they will tell you that they use High Performance window tint and say " Well, I don't have the overhead of having a shop" and that's partially true. They don't have the overhead of having a shop or shop insurance or liabilty insurance. What happens if your vehicle is damaged accidentally or heaven forbid; what if he gets hurt working on your vehicle in your driveway? Who's insurance is gonna have to cover it? Not the guy standing there with a question mark on his face and no insurance.

Lastly I just want to touch on quality. You probably wouldn't let someone paint your vehicle in your driveway right? So does it make sense that tinting; which requires a controlled enviroment for cleanliness could be accomplished in an outdoor uncontrolled enviroment.
