Window Tint comes in a variety of different shades to meet your individual needs. Most window tint manufacturers make some variation of the shades below. The actual Visible Light Transmission may vary a little bit but they are all basically the same. For example Solargard makes a 13% film and LLumar makes a 15% film. In most cases this is going to be refered to as 15 or 20 and most commonly called MEDIUM. The state of Arizona requires that the front doors of all passenger vehicles be no darker than 33% VLT. The back sides and back windows however can be as dark as you would like. The majority of the time we recommend a medium shade for these rear windows due to the fact that there is less heat absorption and better visibilty.
